Only 12 percent of Democrats think Sanders will be the next president and 10 percent who think it will be Trump.

Sanders predicted victory as he appeared with members of a transit workers union, before joining a picket line with communications workers striking against Verizon. 59% of Americans overall believe that the country “needs a political revolution”, and that belief is most apparent among the supporters of the two insurgent candidates – Sanders on the Democratic side and Donald Trump among Republicans.
“Mr. Trump wants to set Americans against each other”. “I think it’s a hard thing to do, when he’s standing there for two hours, to say he doesn’t know something about issues when he’s prepared to speak at some length and depth about a broad range of issues”. That’s down from a Siena poll March 7 that showed the former NY senator with a 21-percentage-point edge.
Hillary Clinton has been leading Bernie Sanders in virtually all polling for the last few months.
“She fought in the Senate to end racial profiling and discriminatory sentencing and stands with the president against those who would undo his achievements”, Freeman says.
Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley announced his endorsement of his colleague an op-ed for The New York Times. The former New York senator also campaigned in New York City and addressed the National Action Network, led by the Rev. Al Sharpton – giving her a visible platform for the city’s black community.
“Any vote that he gets above 40 percent or so (in the NY primary) would be a strong showing”. While Sanders has the support of the state’s left leaning Working Families Party, Clinton will have get out the vote help from numerous major unions. As Capitol Correspondent Karen DeWitt reports, Sanders has pulled to within 52 percent to 42 percent, but Clinton leads in key voting regions.
When it comes to New York Democratic primary 2016, Hillary Clinton enjoys double digit lead over Bernie Sanders.
Not content to stop there, however, Clinton is now trying to blame Sanders’ home state of Vermont for New York’s crime problem. He noted that primary turnout is usually low. “We need to rethink the status quo”. The newspaper called her a “superprepared warrior realist” who also understands the economic toll the country has faced, while labeling Sanders “utterly unprepared” with “politically impossible” goals. He’s expected to head overseas just after the pair debate Thursday night.
