For months on the campaign trail ahead of the first debate, O’Malley threw more than a few elbows at Clinton and Sanders alike. Red-baiting isn’t a good look for any Democrat, especially one like O’Malley, who wants to use the power of government to improve people’s lives.
Sanders, by contrast, is an independent in the Senate, but signed up for the Granite State ballot as a Democrat.
President Obama just sent Americans to Syria, and might even send more American soldiers in the near future.
Similarly in October, Sanders was interviewed in Ebony about his commitment to black issues, and he highlighted, as he often does, “the fact that I have one of the strongest civil rights voting records in the Congress”.

SC State University senior Valerie Nwadeyi doesn’t consider herself a political person, but showed up two hours early for Clinton’s appearance. “Also, we think of (endorsements) as a promise of resources, whether they be money, campaign volunteers and an opportunity for another elected official to put their apparatus to work for the candidate they endorse”.
