But Kaine’s other assets apparently assuaged that trepidation, and he gave a triumphant, bilingual speech during his first public appearance with Clinton as her chosen No. 2 in Miami Saturday. He has spent more than two decades learning local, state and federal government through service as a City Council member, mayor, lieutenant governor, governor and US senator – all the while never losing an election. He showcased his Spanish skills Saturday at a rally with Clinton in Florida. “I’ve known Tim Kaine for a number of years”, Sanders said.

Clinton disappointed many progressives in the party when she tapped Kaine as her vice-presidential pick, citing disagreements with him on issues like Wall Street and trade agreements, in addition to having discomfort with his more socially conservative positions held in the past.
“I’ll tell you one thing, that is one lesson I have learned the hard way, and there will not be any such thing in the White House”, she said.

“I don’t think she is qualified to be the chair of the DNC not only for these very bad emails, which revealed the prejudice of the DNC, but also because we need a party that reaches out to working people and young people, and I don’t think her leadership style is doing that”, he said. “I don’t get upset about them anymore, but they. are very regrettable”.
