Sanders earns first Senate endorsement
Winning support from the Transport Workers Union Local 100, which represents 42,000 workers in the New York region, according to the New York Daily News, is a big deal for Sanders. Clinton has captured the endorsements of most Senate Democrats but Merkley announced his support of Sanders, telling MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the senator had “been out there leading, clearly long before he chose to run”.
“It is time to recommit ourselves to that vision of a country that measures our nation’s success not at the boardroom table, but at kitchen tables across America”, wrote Merkley, the junior USA senator from Oregon.

“The one place where people may want to reconsider is states where Bernie had really huge victories, ” Tad Devine, chief strategist for the Sanders campaign said, citing Washington, Minnesota and Alaska among other states.
After winning the Democratic caucuses in Wyoming on Saturday, Sanders has now won seven of the past eight state contests.
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton appear to have a lock on their parties’ respective presidential primaries in NY.
The endorsement responds negatively to Bernie Sanders’s promises-to end income inequality, providing free public college tuition and taxing Wall Street – as unrealistic.
Warren, in particular, would be a high-profile surrogate for either campaign.

For economic justice, racial justice, militarism, reducing money in politics, and fighting climate change, a Hillary Clinton presidency offers, at best, no progress, and at worst, war with Iran, escalation in Syria, deepened influence of corporate money on all political decisions, and another financial catastrophe from an essentially unregulated Wall Street.
