Just two weeks shy of the Democratic National Convention, Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, congratulated Clinton for winning the nomination and vowed to do everything he could to help her beat presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump. Clinton’s campaign also sent out a flurry of tweets touting Sanders’ support. Democrats will formally nominate Clinton during the convention.

“Today, with your support and the support of millions of people throughout our country, we begin a political revolution to transform our country economically, politically, socially and environmentally”, he told supporters when he announced his campaign March 26, 2015.

So now Clinton and her supporters are feeling “the Bern”, but are his own supporters?

The Vermont senator and former Democratic presidential candidate appeared with Mrs Clinton at a campaign event in New Hampshire.

Clinton outlined her five-point plan to improve the country if elected president.

Bernie Sanders has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. (See Hillary Clinton as a guest at Donald Trump’s third wedding, for example.) The race was hard fought.

“We build bridges, not walls”, Clinton said, referring to Trump’s proposal to build a large wall to prevent illegal immigration.

Do you think Sanders’ sudden endorsement is honest? “That’s what democracy is about”, said Mr Sanders.

She later went on to applaud him for all the he was able to accomplish with his campaign and thank his many supporters. “He said that the delegates’ roll call at the convention in a little over two weeks would reflect that he had won nearly 1,900 delegates – suggesting that he might technically stay in the race till then”.
