Sanders Endorses Former Rival Clinton For President
Sanders has spent the past month seeking to influence the party’s platform at the Philadelphia convention and promote electoral reforms including allowing independents to participate in future primaries.

Clinton welcomed Sanders’ support: “Thank you for your lifetime of fighting injustice”, she said, “I’m proud to be fighting behind you.it’s a time for all of us to stand together”.
Green Party presumptive presidential nominee Jill Stein also expressed her disappointment in Sanders.
Clinton said the party is now united and is ready to defeat Trump in the November general elections.
Clinton last week rolled out proposals on college affordability and access to health care, winning praise from Sanders, and the platform agreed to last weekend in Florida includes many of Sanders’ priorities, including a $15 an hour minimum wage.
The two were greeted by a cheering crowd of hundreds at Portsmouth High School as the Vermont senator announced his endorsement of his New Hampshire presidential primary rival.
Sanders at first framed the endorsement as a necessary choice, saying she was “far and away the best candidate” of the two remaining available options.
“Secretary Clinton has won the Democratic nominating process, and I congratulate her for that”.
“I’m not really thrilled with either one of them”, he said.
“After Bernie Sanders made his statement several people started leaving”, Warren said.
Sanders won the New Hampshire primary in February by a large margin, but has been under pressure to endorse Clinton ever since his already hard path to the nomination disappeared entirely after the California primary last month.
