Sanders finally endorses rival Hillary
A contentious Democratic primary fight ended Tuesday with hugs, handshakes and thank yous, as Bernie Sanders told supporters that their “political revolution” was dependent upon getting Hillary Clinton elected as the country’s next president.

Both campaigns said Monday that Sanders will join the former secretary of state at a high school in the town of Portsmouth “to discuss their commitment to building an America that is stronger together and an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top”.
“These states in the Midwest are going to respond to us and our message in the same way MI workers did, and that is, ‘We need an economy that works for all of us and not just the 1 percent, ‘” Sanders said.
“I am absolutely certain I will not vote for Hillary Clinton”, said Gale Bailey, a Sanders supporter and an unemployed graphic designer from Rochester, New Hampshire, who attended the rally in a Sanders T-shirt. If Sanders isn’t on the ballot, he said it was “more likely I will support Jill Stein”, the leader of the minor Green Party. “I’ve run outside of the two-party system, defeating Democrats and Republicans, taking on big-money candidates and, you know, I think the message that has resonated in Vermont is a message that can resonate all over this country”.
The event theme was “Stronger Together”. Sanders, said Trump in a tweet, has “totally sold out to Crooked Hillary Clinton”.
Sanders said the next president needs to nominate justices to the Supreme Court who will protect the environment, abortion rights and gay rights, and overturn the Citizens United decision that removed restrictions on corporate and union spending and led to the creation of super political action committees and an expansion of nonprofits spending millions on elections while hiding their donors.
Sanders and Clinton are not particularly close, and have not seen each other face-to-face since a private meeting at a Washington hotel last month.
While Ms. Clinton agreed to adopt several proposals from Mr. Sanders, the latter conceded on a key issue – the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP).
Clinton, playing cheerleader as she applauded almost every sentence and vigorously nodded her head throughout, stood just behind Sanders’ right shoulder.
“I can’t help but reflect on how much more enjoyable this election will be now that we are on the same side”, Clinton said of Sanders.
Accepting the endorsement of her primary rival in Portsmouth, New Hampshire Tuesday, Clinton said she was happy to be working with someone who has energized the primary process.
Hillary Clinton slammed Donald Trump for bankrupting his Atlantic City Casinos on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, saying the next chapter of American history shouldn’t include “chapter 11”.
She asked his supporters to get involved and donate.
Mr Sanders told the audience in New Hampshire: “It is no secret that Hillary Clinton and I disagree on a number of issues – that’s what this campaign has been about”.
Back in 2008, it only took Clinton four days to come out in support of Obama after their long primary battle.

Clinton’s final victory over Sanders comes at the end of a long campaign in which she repeatedly moved to accommodate him and the liberal activists behind his campaign.
