The letter released by the campaign says the 74-year-old Vermont senator has been treated in the past for ailments like gout, high cholesterol and laryngitis.
If Clinton would commit to this, his campaign said, then Sanders would also agree to join Clinton and O’Malley at the February 4 debate convened by MSNBC and the New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper, just days before the state becomes the second in the country to vote for Republican and Democratic presidential candidates.
Sanders’ doctor Brian Monahan says the senator is in “overall very good health and active in (his) professional work, and recreational lifestyle without limitation”. You do not use tobacco and use alcohol infrequently.
He and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton are running are on a head to head tie in Iowa, the premier of the balloting for the presidential race would be held on February 1 2016.
“Check the record, find out where my opponent was on all of these issues”, Sanders said.
Hypothyroid patients who don’t take a daily dose of hormones can suffer from obesity, heart disease, infertility and joint pain, another health issue Sanders has had in the past, according to the letter.
The activist and actress appeared at a Bernie Sanders rally in Iowa, where she slammed the Democrat for supporting the Iraq war and “equivocating” on same-sex marriage. In a private memo, I wrote that if she wants to endorse Hillary Clinton she should, and state why she believes Clinton would be a great president, a proposition that can be fairly argued, but an argument that has never made effectively made by Clinton herself.
Sanders would be 75 upon his inauguration, making him the oldest president ever elected. “That’s where Hillary Clinton lost me, because there was plenty of information that even I had that said there was a real problem with the logic involved”, she said.
The doctor’s note was slightly less detailed than the note the Clinton campaign released last summer.
