Sanders: ‘It doesn’t appear’ I’ll be the nominee
Trump slammed Clinton’s record as secretary of state, claiming that her “tryout for the presidency has produced one deadly foreign policy disaster after another”.

Bernie Sanders. The Vermont senator has not yet endorsed Clinton or conceded the nomination to her – though he seems to be slowly shifting that position. However, I would like to see Sanders in the Clinton administration in some capacity.
“We all have a story that’s pushing us to want to do something to change the way things go”, Ruland said.
The Post goes on to note that Sanders has, in fact, picked up votes, counties, and congressional districts once thought to have gone to Clinton.
He was cut off by Rep. Jim Clyburn of SC, who said the question needed to be answered.
It was at a town hall meeting “and I was talking about Social Security and this women gets up and says ‘Let me tell you what it’s like to live in Iowa on $11,000 a year, ‘ ” Sanders recalled Wednesday. Clinton did not reveal any details of who she might be considering as her running-mate, but that didn’t stop some members from speculating.
“It doesn’t appear that I’m going to be the nominee, so I’m not going to determine the scope of the convention in July in which the party nominee will be officially named”, Sanders said on Wednesday during an interview with C-SPAN TV channel.
It may not come as a surprise that Clinton would shore up support among elected officials as the party’s establishment figure, but a heated primary season between her and Bernie Sanders brings an urgency to unite the party.
And while U.S. Sen. Congressman Elijah Cummings told reporters ideas for the platform were not specifically discussed with Clinton, but he predicted a final draft would be completed this weekend.
Clinton says at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, that Trump is pedaling “outlandish lies” and is trying to “distract us”. The senator also gave a pep talk to staff at the Clinton campaign’s Brooklyn headquarters last week.
Clinton also largely avoided talking about Trump outside of briefly listing areas where Trump has proven himself unqualified to be president, according to Democratic lawmakers. But several aides acknowledged they were not sure, considering the secrecy imposed on the process by Clinton.
She is said to be on the short list of Clinton’s possible running mates – in part because of her potential appeal to Sanders’ supporters.
