Sanders Makes Another Plea to Supporters: Clinton ‘Far Superior’ to Trump

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s lead over Republican rival Donald Trump narrowed to less than 3 percentage points, according to a Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Friday, down from almost eight points on Monday.

Questioned about why a majority of voters don’t trust her, Ms. Clinton referred to her high approval ratings when she was Secretary of State and a Senator from NY.

Over the past several months, Trump has been attacking Clinton by using different words like “crooked” and “devil”.

In May, it was “Heartless Hillary” – the brash NY businessman chambered that one during a speech at the National Rifle Association. “I may have short-circuited and for that I will try to clarify”. “That really is the bottom line here”, she said.

The campaign of Republican nominee Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee immediately released statements Friday portraying Clinton as a liar who’d failed to take the opportunity to “come clean about her secret email setup”.

Hillary Clinton finally broke her 260-day long press conference moratorium Friday, and journalists couldn’t stop applauding her. In a speech at the Democratic National Convention, Khan said that Trump’s plans were not constitutional and he famously waved a copy of the U.S. Constitution that he carries in his coat pocket.

“You always have to be prepared to walk”, Donald Trump said.

He said: “I support and endorse our Speaker of the House Paul Ryan”.

With both two candidates strongly disliked by people outside their bases, many Americans are seeing the 2016 USA presidential race as a choice between “the lesser of two evils”. Several news organizations have debunked that characterization, saying Comey was talking about Federal Bureau of Investigation closed-door interviews and hadn’t weighed in on what Clinton had said publicly.

“I made the decision that I wouldn’t be able to look at my grandkids if I voted for Trump”, said Dan Webb, a former federal prosecutor and a self-described “Republican for decades” working to win over prominent Republican business people in Chicago.

Stumping Saturday night, Trump also alleged that the terrorist group ISIS is dreaming of a Clinton presidency.

Eager to change their minds, Trump unleashed a torrent of insults at Clinton. Among Sanders supporters, less than half, 43 percent said they will support Clinton against Trump in the fall election.

“As part of our end to end reform of the criminal justice system, we’re going to help people succeed when they return home from jail or prison. Very unsafe!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
