Earlier Thursday, President Obama released a video offering his support for Clinton.

Her response was concise: “Yes, I do”. I’ve seen her toughness. “I look forward to working with her on behalf of not only the campaign and her very effective critique of Trump, but also on the issues that she and I both care about”. I have seen her toughness. However, he later indicated that he would “assess” his path to victory in the wake of California’s primary which was held on Tuesday. According to the White House, next week Obama will begin campaigning with Clinton, who recently clinched the number of delegates needed for the Democratic nomination.
“It would be extraordinary if the people of Washington, our nation’s capital, stood up and told the world that they are ready to lead this country into a political revolution”, Mr Sanders said at the end of an hour-long address. His first campaign stop with Mrs Clinton will be in Wisconsin on June 15.
As the Democratic primary season was all but over, the notion of party unity had become a crucial topic in the Democratic field.
“It sends a clear message to all Democratic leaders who have been quiet that it is now safe to come out in the open”, Murray said. The former secretary of state has earned other endorsements since becoming the presumptive nominee, including that of Sen.
“Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell want Donald Trump to appoint the next generation of judges”.
In addition to his clear denunciation of Trump, the 74-year-old senator shared a few of the policies he hopes to present to voters in Washington, D.C., ahead of the convention.
Mrs. Clinton’s aides had been pressuring Ms. Warren for an endorsement, and the senator made a decision to do so after talking with Mr. Sanders over the weekend, aides close to her said.
The Obama endorsement increases pressure on Sanders, a USA senator from Vermont, to bow out of the race and lend his support to Clinton so that the party can focus on defeating Trump. He focused steadfastly on Trump.
He said in a video: “I know how hard this job can be”.
Hillary Clinton’s snarky tweet to her White House rival Donald Trump was among the funniest of the campaign.
Mr Sanders emerged from the White House meeting subdued and indicated he had got the message. We like you and respect you.
They discussed their Senate years together, and Reid, 76, wondered how Sanders, 74, had the energy to keep going.
I know Hillary Clinton will be gracious to him. Warren, a firebrand liberal who appeals to Sanders’ anti-Wall Street wing of the party, put her foot down in the interview Thursday.

“What Bernie Sanders did was just powerfully important”, she added.
