“Let me tell you”, he said, “eight years ago, you may remember Hillary and I were rivals for the Democratic nomination”.

After the speech, Trump blitzed Clinton on Twitter, calling her “a captive of Wall Street” and questioning her character, tweeting: “Corruption and devastation follows her wherever she goes”.
Clinton called on Americans to consider Donald Trump’s “temperament”. “Instead we will build an economy where everyone who wants a good job can get one, and we’ll build a path to citizenship to millions who are already contributing to our economy”.
With chants of “Hell no DNC, we won’t vote for Hillary” and “Lock her up”, the protesters made it clear they would not be casting their votes for Hillary Clinton. “Your cause is our cause”, she said, although boos were audible at points in the speech.
And she pledged to defeat the Islamic State group with air strikes and support for local ground forces, while authorising a “surge” in intelligence to prevent terrorist attacks. “We must unite around the candidate who can defeat a risky demagogue”, he said, in his speech.
The convention formally anointed Clinton on Tuesday as the Democratic nominee, who will now go up against Trump in the November 8 election.
If the incumbent is – in Biden’s words, “one of the finest presidents” ever – then why do we need big change?
Alan Swislow, co-leader of the Contra Costa for Hillary club, said he saw Sanders supporters “turn their backs on one of the speakers” during the four day-long event at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
‘Any objective observer will conclude that – based on her ideas and her leadership – Hillary Clinton must become the next President of the United States, ‘ Sanders said, to cries from his fans.
At its core, Clinton’s speech, like the Democratic convention that it brought to a close, was about what it means to be American – and what it doesn’t.
Clinton has been a frequent Republican target during her more than three decades in national politics, most recently for her use of a private email server for government business at the State Department.
Senator Tim Kaine used his best Donald Trump impression to show what his true colors are in the election.
And she did, delivering a measured, inspirational message that drew a sharp contrast with her bombastic Republican opponent Donald Trump.
‘He ran for president as a Democrat but was elected to a six-year term in the Senate as an independent, ‘ the source said.

Obama opened his speech by recalling his first time speaking at the Democratic National Convention. “I see Americans of every party, every background, every faith who believe that we are stronger together – black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, young, old, gay, straight, men, women, folks with disabilities all pledging allegiance under the same proud flag to this great, bold country that we love”.
