Sanders, Michelle Obama thrill DNC
A supporters of Sen.

NY supporters of Hillary Clinton attending the Democratic National Convention reacted positively Sunday to her decision to choose Virginia Sen. But former Rep. Barney Frank of MA, a co-chairman of the convention’s rules committee, denied that the appointment of Rep. Marcia L. Fudge of OH on Saturday as permanent chairwoman was related to the email controversy.
As a trove of leaked email messages among high-ranking Democrat officials makes clear, the conspiracy previous year and this was to ensure Clinton got the party’s nomination for president. At this week’s Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, she and her vice presidential pick, Sen.
But that poll also found 82 percent dissatisfied or strongly dissatisfied with Clinton.
A slew of leaked emails from the Democratic National Committee posted online this weekend raised questions about the DNC’s impartiality and reinforced the idea that the Democratic establishment actively worked to submarine Bernie Sanders’ insurgent candidacy. Bernie Sanders had mixed feelings.
Solomon said presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s selection of Kaine as her running mate showed “demonstrable contempt for the progressive wing of this party”.
“You know, the truth is, is that Hillary and I have become friends, but we’re not bosom buddies”.
“I don’t call him anything, and I’m not going to engage in that kind of insult-fest that he seems to thrive on”, Clinton said. As Secretary of State under President Obama, Clinton allegedly encouraged aggressive bombing in Libya and the arming of Syrian rebels. After the convention, DNC Vice Chair Donna Brazile, a veteran Democratic strategist, will lead the party on an interim basis. GOP nominee Donald Trump declared on Twitter: “The Dems Convention is cracking up”.
Sensing an opening, Trump sent out a flurry of tweets criticizing Sanders for shifting his support to Clinton – and urging Sanders supporters to fight.
CNN said its new findings were the best showing for Trump against Clinton since September 2015.
Luckily Clinton has Elizabeth Warren for those times when she really needs to sling some mud. “It’s shameful that the Clinton campaign – and, it should be said, the Obama White House – served as longtime loyal enablers for such a flagrant abuser of democratic principles”.
Obama’s address all but wiped away earlier tumult in the convention hall that had exposed lingering tensions among supporters of Clinton and Sanders.
Former President Bill Clinton, watching from the audience, leapt to his feet and applauded, as did most of the delegates filling the convention arena.
It wasn’t just Trump and the Republicans that Clinton talked about, taking plenty of time to praise her newly-announced running mate Kaine.
“The reality is that she comes out of this nominating process with pretty high negatives and this is a chance for her to make her case in her own terms”, said Gain, who advises the pro-Clinton super PAC Priorities USA. “And I’ll move to Canada”.
“Our credibility as a movement will be damaged by booing, turning of backs, walking out or other similar displays”, Mr. Sanders wrote.
While her ouster was a major victory for Mr. Sanders, it wasn’t enough to ease the frustration of his supporters.
Sanders endorsed Clinton two weeks ago after pressing for the party platform to include a $15-an-hour minimum wage, debt-free college and an expansion of access to health care.
Sanders delegates insist they’ll do what they can to get their message across. They did not succeed in passing an amendment abolishing superdelegates, but they did win a compromise deal with the Clinton camp – a “unity commission” that will review the overall procedures and will seek to limit the role of superdelegates in future elections.

Trump claims Wasserman Schultz “worked very hard to rig the system” in Clinton’s favor, and that Clinton responded by throwing her “under the bus”. Irate, in fact, that the emails confirmed their long-held suspicions the party had favored Clinton all along.
