But he’s also angered fellow lawmakers for not promptly endorsing his primary opponent and has seen his influence wane as President Barack Obama and Sen.

Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s made two stops in New Hampshire since easily winning the GOP primary in February.
US Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein conducts a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, July 11, 2012. “The Clinton campaign has worked to diminish what Bernie people consider substantial differences on these issues”.
Pressed on when specifically he planned to get behind Clinton, Sanders replied that elections are not necessarily about winning but about transformations, drawing jeers.
In a two-way contest, 51 per cent of registered voters support presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Clinton, 68, or lean towards her while 42 per cent support or lean towards presumptive Republican presidential nominee Trump, 70, Pew Research Center said in its latest survey on Friday. He wants the platform to support a carbon tax to address climate change and seek a freeze on hydraulic fracking.
The endorsement will come a few weeks before they head to their convention in Philadelphia at the end of the month.
Sanders came very close to officially endorsing her in an interview Thursday with Bloomberg’s Al Hunt. But he says the party will ultimately unite.
Clinton did not provide details on how to pay for her proposed program or estimate the total cost, and Republicans were quick to attack her.
While the date and location of such an endorsement event had not previously been reported, it has been clear for a while that Sanders would endorse Clinton. During Tuesday’s news conference before the Clinton meeting, he said the Democratic National Committee needs new leadership. “That political movement is going to go on – it isn’t going to bury itself in the graveyard alongside Hillary Clinton”.
The decision to hold the possible endorsement in the state would be reminiscent of 2008 when Clinton and then-Sen. That event could take place the at University of New Hampshire in Durham.
Sanders recently faced boos during a meeting with House Democrats, reportedly because he repeated his intention to remain in the race through the convention, urging Democrats to understand that “the goal is to transform America”, not merely “to win elections”. His aides stress his millions of votes and his highly motivated delegates to the convention. A summary of results shows voters described as “conservative” supporting Clinton at a rate of 26 percent in a matchup between Trump and Clinton.
