Sanders outperforms Clinton against GOP in NH, poll says

There have been rumors for months that Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz has been planning the debate schedule to be as inconvenient as possible to give Clinton an advantage, so why shouldn’t the sitting vice president join in on the onslaught?

On Tuesday, he crisscrossed the snow-covered roads of Western Iowa in an intense four-city bus tour.

And while Sanders sounds like Obama at times – his slogan is “A Future to Believe In” – he is also the anti-Obama. In smaller print, it notes that it was paid for by Bernie 2016 “not the billionaires”. However, Sanders is well known in New Hampshire after three decades in office in neighboring Vermont. “So, I’m immersed in what it will take for us, going forward, to manage this challenging relationship”. It intertwines shots of animated crowds at Bernie Sanders rallies as he engages with his supporters. The shift to a more combative, boastful tone is tracking closely with Sanders’ stunning ascent in the polls. “Whether it was Dodd-Frank, whether it was health care, and it was clearly created to say, ‘Bernie Sanders, he’s not wrapping himself in Obama'”.

And Sanders has sharpened his attacks on Clinton, not mentioning her by name, but consistently pointing out that he hasn’t been paid $600,000 speaking fees by Goldman Sachs.

After listing some of Sanders’ foreign policy ideas, Sullivan said, “When you look at all of these ideas, it’s pretty clear that he just hasn’t thought it through”.

In New Hampshire, Clinton is broadcasting an ad particularly targeted in the media markets of southern New Hampshire and suburban Boston where Scala said Clinton will need to motivate voters to win the primary.

In the past week, polls in Iowa show that a number of Clinton’s supporters now identify themselves as being undecided.

“Bernie Sanders has a lot of slogans, a lot of empty solutions that I think are coming under challenge now that he’s had to put the details out”, he said. According to the poll, Sanders’s lead over Clinton in New Hampshire has increased by 17 points, 60% to 33%, since the same poll found the Vermont senator Sanders holding steady at 50% to Clinton’s 40% in early December.

At his final stop – a historic 1920s theater in Sioux City, lit up in orange and white lights to announce the “main attraction” of the evening – the senator reiterated some of the same Clinton criticisms, and threw in an additional jab.

Lovato’s free concert for the campaign drew about 1,700 fans, many of whom shrieked and held cell-phone cameras aloft as she took the stage in the Iowa Memorial Union.

“It may have to do with the polls and that the hunting tradition is stronger here in Iowa”, Hagle said. And, so he concluded his brief, but passionate, one-day swing through the state with a plea to participate. Remmel says this presents a challenge to the Sanders precinct captains in Iowa’s almost 1,800 caucuses. I don’t think this reflects well on us.
