Sanders pushes back on Biden claim that he’s ready to endorse Clinton

Clinton will appear in the city on Wednesday to talk about Trump’s temperament, a Clinton campaign official said.

“Our first month of general election fundraising proved to be the best of the campaign”, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in a statement.

Vice President Joe Biden is confident that Bernie Sanders is going to endorse Hillary Clinton and that the Democratic party will unify. “Here’s what Secretary Clinton is saying on this issue and that issue” replied Sanders.

Now, that same insecurity about his campaign’s direction has manifested itself into a question of whether or not the Senator will endorse Clinton – Vice President Joe Biden had told media outlets that Sanders would indeed be endorsing, but Sanders didn’t quite agree with Biden’s assessment of the situation.

He instead explained why everything possible must be done to stop Trump.

“It’s not going to Donald Trump, it’s going away from Hillary Clinton”, another woman said.

Among voters who say they would vote for Sanders in November if that was still possible, 35% say they are more likely to vote for Clinton now as a result of his announcement, while only 12% are less likely to do do.

He continued, “I’ve known her for 25 years, I have a lot of respect for her. We’ve worked together”.

After Sanders told Hayes that he will do everything he can to make sure Donald Trump does not become president, Hayes asked if that would involve campaigning for Clinton.

“Right now my hope is that [Secretary Clinton and I] can reach an agreement on some very important issues and I can go forward to the millions of people who supported me and say, ‘Look, this is the progress that you’ve made”. Biden met Sanders earlier this month at the Naval Observatory following an Oval Office sitdown between Obama and the candidate.

“I want her to say among other things, we have a crisis in higher education – public universities and colleges should be tuition free”.
