At the Concord Farmer’s Market some said they had to Google Tim Kaine before they decided how they felt about Hillary Clinton’s VP pick.

Behind that smile Tim also has a backbone of steel. He was on the short list to be President Barack Obama’s running mate in 2008. He has also not condemned the deal, unlike Mrs Clinton. Her father was the governor of Virginia from 1970-74.
Family: Kaine is married to Anne Holton, Virginia’s education secretary.
In picking Kaine, Clinton passed over liberal candidates who would have generated more grassroots enthusiasm like U.S. Sens. The couple has three adult children, including a son, Nat, a Marine who is going on a deployment on Monday, aides said. Speaking at times in Spanish, he drew comparisons between the Democratic ticket and Trump.
Trump on twitter Saturday morning trying to stir up Bernie Sanders supporters, and blasting the ticket as Crooked Hillary and Corrupt Kaine.
Kaine criticized Trump’s recent suggestion he might not honor US security commitments to North Atlantic Treaty Organisation in Europe, and the real estate mogul’s history of casino bankruptcies and founding the failed Trump University. Bernie supporters are outraged, was their last choice.
Sanders still has obvious grievances over how he was treated by the Democratic National Committee during the primary process.
“I don’t know much about him, never heard of him before the announcement was made”.

Kaine acknowledged average Americans may not have heard of him before, but pledged he would work hard to convince voters he is worthy of being a heartbeat away from the presidency. “His life has been those kinds of choices”.
