Sanders says Obama has been impartial in Democratic primary
Clinton had not indicated until Wednesday that she was open for more debates.

Emerging from the White House after an hour, Sanders said the meeting was “constructive” and that Obama was trying to be as “even-handed” as possible in the race. Sanders’ interest in adding debates during the spring shows his campaign’s eye toward an extended fight for the nomination leading up to the party’s July convention. The Clintons say Sanders’ call for a single-payer universal health care system is unrealistic.
“Where we differ: “I don’t think that’s enough”.
She gave her remarks as Sanders, scheduled to appear in northern Iowa tonight, met with President Barack Obama in the White House. Bernie Sanders, to back a new debate tentatively planned for next Thursday.
In his interview, Mr Obama likened Mr Sanders to a “bright, shiny object” and said he had the “luxury of being a complete long-shot and just letting loose” but rejected any comparison with his 2008 campaign. “I think Hillary came in with both the privilege – and burden – of being perceived as the front-runner”. But the DNC did not say it would sanction it even if the three agreed. The DNC refused to sanction the Union Leader/MSNBC debate, which would take place February 4, and it has said candidates participating in unsanctioned debates would forfeit their ability to be in any of the remaining debates.
“I’m ready for the debate, and I hope Sen”. “Either we stand with the gun lobby or we join the president and stand up to them I am with him”.
Never mind that this debate would be in New Hampshire and so not get in the way of campaigning flexibly in that state, and that New Hampshire Democrats tend to be invested in the idea of hosting a debate.
“No, of course not”, Sanders said when asked if he asked for Obama’s endorsement.
About 55% of those surveyed said they have locked-in their candidate of choice, according to the poll, with 30% saying they have a strong preference but are willing to consider another candidate and 15% say they only have a slight preference or are undecided.
“But this is the future of the Democratic party”, he said.
The DNC said earlier this week that it doesn’t have any plans to sanction more debates before the New Hampshire primary, but that it would revisit the issue afterward.
By Sunday, however, Sanders emphasized his 25-year relationship with Clinton, calling her a friend he respects. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt, speaks during a campaign event at Music Man Square, Jan. 27, 2016, in Mason City, Iowa.
“Obviously what a campaign is about is differences of issues, differences of points of view”.

“There’s a number of issues where she has come around but she very clearly equivocated or was not there in the beginning”, she said.
