Sanders Says Staying in Race Good for Democratic Party
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has a simple explanation for why he’s trailing Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House: Poor people don’t vote.

The former secretary of State went to two Philadelphia church services attended largely by blacks ahead of the primary in Pennsylvania, Tuesday’s top delegate prize.
Even though he is not old enough to vote, Ryan Gulick, 16, of Fairfield, made his dad drive him to New Haven. McLean attributed part of the new Democrat registrations to Sanders. “The memories of being out of power are fresh in the mind”, McLean said of Democrats.
Added Kasich’s chief strategist, John Weaver, “Our goal is to have an open convention in Cleveland, where we are confident a candidate capable of uniting the party and winning in November will emerge as the nominee”. Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy told the New York Times a day after Sanders’ loss in New York: “I think we all need to back up and take a breath, because this shouldn’t be a personal battle that damages the party”. “When are the party leaders going to realize that it’s time for a change?”
“I am still waiting for a clear answer”, he said.
To be fair, Clinton did not do well upstate. But now, after her big win in New York, Hillary seems ready to drag the conversation toward the general election.
Five states vote Tuesday, making it a crucial turning point for Sanders, who trails Clinton by hundreds of delegates (including superdelegates) in the race. Meanwhile in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, President Bill Clinton stumped for his wife at a local school.
Minority voters helped Clinton in the other big upstate counties too, Lenihan said.
“It certainly wasn’t us”, Grossman said.
Seventy-one delegates are at stake in the state’s primary, though just 17 are awarded state-wide on a winner-take-all basis.
Mayor Brown’s political operation worked overtime for Clinton, according to Maurice L. Garner, a Buffalo political consultant with close ties to the mayor. “Then we could be left with people who support Ted Cruz”. He said his Clinton reference is “real, real simple for the folks in the media who find this conversation very confusing”. Generally, we see a call for harsher punishment for the violators.
Clinton now requires just 541 pledged delegates to hit the magic number of 2,026, which would guarantee her a majority win on the first ballot at the Democratic Convention. Timothy M. Kennedy and Assemblyman Sean M. Ryan.
Back in October, Cruz was asked about transgender people serving the military and the Texas senator said that they should not view the military as a “cauldron for social experiments” and instead should focus on hunting down and killing the bad guys.
“I spent 3 1/2 hours going door to door in Masten in my election district”, he said, noting the Council district recorded the highest turnout and Clinton vote in the city. “That’s where things are getting confused”, he said.
In recent weeks, he said, the campaign has stepped up its efforts.
“You can’t turn negatives around overnight”, Kasich said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation”.
“Bernie has good ideas, but Hillary is tested against Republican attacks”, Cicilline said.

There was far less drama on the Democratic side Sunday. Most of us women aren’t entitled to that same privilege, that you are, Mrs. Clinton, and as a woman, you should know better.
