Sanders scores postal union endorsement
Yet, it still comes into play now and again, as with the American Postal Workers Union endorsement of Bernie Sanders illustrates.

Clinton’s support from two major teachers’ unions, the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers, has become a political weapon among a few Republican presidential candidates, who oppose Democrats’ Washington-centered education policies and the influence of teachers’ unions on education. The union’s president said Sanders’ push was important.
Sanders has also been a strong proponent of modernizing the U.S. Postal Service by adding banking services and selling hunting and fishing licenses.
Bernie Sanders has spent years fighting for Postal Service workers, and their endorsement is significantly gesture of appreciation for all of his efforts. Sanders, who serves in the U.S. Senate as an independent, filed for the presidential primary as a Democrat last week.
According to the Fight For $15 organizers funded by the Service Employees worldwide Union, the movement is a fight against “poverty wages”, that is using the protests “to show candidates of all political stripes that the almost 64 million Americans paid less than $15 are a voting bloc that can no longer be ignored”.
“Applying that criteria, Sen”.
The postal workers’ support follows the August announcement from National Nurses United, another AFL-CIO member, that it was backing the democratic socialist for president.
“Although Restaurant Associates settled these charges by promising to end further unlawful intimidation, it has been reported that within weeks, Restaurant Associates’ President Ed Sirhal took advantage of the Senate recess to hold a meeting with workers to discourage their organizing campaign”, the senators wrote.
The postal workers union endorsement marks the second union endorsement for Sanders at the national level.
The latest national poll by the NY Times/CBS News revealed that Clinton continues to maintain the lead in the Democratic party.
After months of publicly demanding union recognition, the people who serve USA senators their crab cakes and curry spiced salmon have won the support of a few of their most powerful customers.

The American Postal Workers Union, which represents more than 200,000 postal workers and retirees, praised Sanders as a champion of workers. “Bernie Sanders has been fighting for this for decades, so I think that people know that he’s standing up to their interests and that that word is finally getting out”, Anderson said.
