Sanders supporters in Iowa react to his Clinton endorsement
Sanders’ endorsement came more than a month after Clinton clinched the Democratic Party nomination, and brought to an end a chaotic and divisive Democratic primary season where he questioned Clinton’s judgement as the country’s future leader. Only problem? He still isn’t suspending his own campaign!

At a joint rally in New Hampshire, the two Democrats presented a united front in advance of the fall campaign against presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, beginning the process of consolidating the Democratic Party around Mrs. Clinton’s campaign and healing rifts within the party.
The 74-year-old Sanders, a USA senator from Vermont, offered voters a litany of reasons why the 68-year-old former secretary of state is a better choice than the 70-year-old Manhattan real estate mogul.
Clinton’s recent proposal for a tuition-free public college for families making less the $125,000 also support Sander’s college-affordability plan.
“Bernie Sanders endorsing Crooked Hillary Clinton is like Occupy Wall Street endorsing Goldman Sachs”, Trump said on Twitter. “Thank you, Bernie, for your endorsement, but more than that, Thank you for your lifetime of fighting injustice”.
Sanders said Clinton must become the next president because she can take on issues like income inequality, climate change and student debt.
More recently, Clinton called on Congress to add a “public option” to the Affordable Care Act.
While Sanders’ endorsement of Clinton will likely help further cement unity in the Democratic Party, numerous his supporters may remain unconvinced.
Here at home, Sanders supporters are feeling a different kind of “Bern” than the one they felt when the senator visited the Sacramento Valley.
The merger of the two camps, however, might not be as smooth as planned since some of Sanders’ supporters aren’t ready to vote for Clinton, according to Fortune.
Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton have teamed up for the battle against Donald Trump.
Sanders – who opposed going to war against Iraq – gave his support to Clinton on Tuesday morning after a contentious primary election.
