Sanders supporters march to protest Democratic National Convention

“As Party Chair, this week I will open and close the Convention and I will address our delegates about the stakes involved in this election not only for Democrats, but for all Americans”, Wasserman Schultz’s statement continued.

The revelations prompted runner-up Bernie Sanders to call for Wasserman Schultz’s resignation Sunday.

“I thought that the Bernie people were rude, obnoxious and didn’t allow for the discourse to allow Debbie to speak”, said Florida state Sen.

DNC Vice Chair Donna Brazile will take over as interim chair of the party after Wasserman Schultz steps down.

Outgoing Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz drew jeers as she spoke to her Florida delegation at a breakfast Monday morning, hours before she bowed out of an appearance at the party’s convention. The DNC voted to select Rep. Marcia Fudge to oversee the convention proceedings instead.

“I don’t think it’s coincidental that these emails were released on the eve of our convention here, and I think that’s disturbing”, Mook said.

Just a week after talking smack about the Republican National Convention, the Democrats are having their own problems.

The WikiLeaks revelations have ratified the sentiments Sanders, and certainly his most fervent supporters, have felt from very early on in the Democratic primary contest since last summer – that it was rigged for Clinton to ease her way to the nomination.

Spokesman Marc LaVorgna says Bloomberg will make the endorsement speech Wednesday night. But Wednesday morning they remained civil as Bernie Sanders told them they would have to work together to defeat Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in November. The DNC chair said late Sunday she will resign after this week’s Democratic National Convention.

The shouters, many holding signs that simply said “E-MAILS, ‘ were countered by Wasserman Schultz supporters who cheered the party chairwoman and U.S. House member from Broward County”.

Advance political reporter Rachel Shapiro is at the convention, and she’ll be covering the action in Philadelphia, with frequent updates.

One email, for example, revealed party officials discussing how to plant stories before primaries in heavily religious Kentucky and West Virginia that would highlight what they suggested was Mr. Sanders’s atheism.

Long Beach, California resident Dea Montford was a lifelong Democrat, and also said she’s leaving the party if Sanders isn’t nominated this week.
