Clooney said he tried to engage with pro-Sanders protesters outside the event, but was called a “corporate shill”, an accusation he laughed off.
“I don’t think anybody does”.
Miringoff notes, however, that New Yorkers have a history of often favoring the more liberal candidate on the primary ballot, which could help Sanders.
