Sanders takes Oregon, battles Clinton in Kentucky; Trump wins GOP primary
Billionaire businessman Donald Trump and Democrat Bernie Sanders have won their parties’ presidential primary contests in OR, as Hillary Clinton claimed victory in a neck-and-neck battle in Kentucky. Clinton declared herself the victor in Kentucky on Tuesday night, but the race was extremely close, and the Associated Press had not made a call by early Wednesday morning. We have to be united.

The outcomes in Kentucky and OR, where Mr Sanders led by 9 percentage points with roughly three-quarters of the vote counted, did not dramatically change the delegate count. But Sanders’ strong performances threaten to expose Clinton’s weaknesses before she takes on Trump in the fall.
Trump said, “You look at what Clinton’s gone through with all of the problems and all of the things that he’s done”.
While Clinton has not officially locked up the nomination, Sanders chances of getting the 2,383 needed to win are growing increasingly slim.
“I’m not one of those people (to say), ‘Tell Bernie to get out, ‘ ” she said.
Though it’s mathematically impossible for Sanders to overtake Clinton in the number of outstanding delegates alone, he’s pledged to stay in the race all the way to this summer’s convention in Philadelphia. Well, let me be as clear as I can be …
Sanders holds an average of 41.3 percent support to Clinton’s 51 percent in the state, according to RealClearPolitics. There were 28 delegates at stake in Oregon’s Republican primary.
Sanders has vowed to campaign through the end of the primary season on June 14 in the District of Columbia and amass as many delegates as possible to influence the party’s platform and message. These latest contests put Clinton at 1,767 pledged delegates and Sanders at 1,488.
“To the extent that we have events outside, I can guarantee they will be peaceful rallies, just like the senator is having all over the country”, Weaver said.
The Democrat fight will likely be decided in the first week of June, when some six USA states, including California, will go for primaries.
Arthur Sanders, Distinguished Professor of Politics at Drake University, agreed that Senator Sanders will eventually come to support Clinton, and so will his followers because he can declare victory even with a loss to Clinton regarding the Democratic presidential nomination.

Mr. Sanders did not mince words going after the Democratic leadership, following a flare-up between his supporters and the chair of the Nevada state convention of the party over the weekend. She pointed to the economic gains under the administration of her husband, former U.S. president Bill Clinton, who is the last Democrat to carry the state in a presidential election.
