The AP on Wednesday said the Clinton and Sanders camps were discussing an endorsement event in the Granite State, the site of Sanders’ first primary win.
She previously has released proposals to increase access to tuition grants, push for income-based repayments, and – like Sanders – to allow graduates to refinance student loans at lower interest rates.
Sanders has avoided endorsing Clinton for weeks as he focused much of his energy on shaping the Democratic platform to mirror his liberal campaign, citing his millions of supporters as motivation to keep pushing his agenda.
According the Associated Press, both campaigns are discussing a potential event in New Hampshire next week, where Sen.
After Clinton became the presumptive Democratic nominee, Sanders vowed repeatedly to stay in the race until the convention.
But while she has made efforts to appear more open to the Sanders platform (for instance, with her recent education plan), many supporters remain insistent that a vote for Clinton is a betrayal of political values.
Sanders risked being left behind, however, as other prominent Democrats have rallied around Clinton, including President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, a favorite of the party’s liberal wing.
The policy is also a win for Sanders, who campaigned on a platform to make tuition free at public colleges and universities.
“The platform today reflects the success of the Sanders campaign, but the ultimate victory of Hillary Clinton”, said Neera Tanden, president of the Center for American Progress and a Clinton appointee to the platform drafting committee.
The endorsement, which may come as soon as next week, would provide a long-awaited unity moment for party members frustrated by Sanders’ lingering campaign. Sanders hailed the plan, which his staff had helped develop with Clinton’s, as a “very bold initiative”.

Overall, 62% of Republicans say average Republicans in the country generally agree with Trump on most issues. But Sanders supporters exploded in cheers when they won environmental amendments that included support for pricing greenhouse gases, prioritizing renewable energy and limiting fracking.
“A quarter of voters say Clinton would change Washington for the worse while 20% say she would change things for the better”, the survey added.

“I anticipate that there are going to be a lot of floor fights (on platform issues); it will be heated and contentious”, Pennacchio said.
