Sanders Wins Wyoming Democratic Caucus

However, it will still take a remarkable turnaround for Sanders to win the nomination over Clinton, a former secretary of state and first lady who goes into the NY primary as heavy favorite to extend her lead in the overall race.
Sanders has always been critical of U.S. foreign policy and was an early opponent of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Sanders trails her by 250 pledged delegates, those awarded proportionate to the popular vote in the state nominating contests.
The Associated Press reports that, when superdelegates are included, Clinton holds a significant lead over Sanders: 1,756 to 1,068. Despite his in-person appeal, Clinton carried Laramie County and the state’s other most populous county, Natrona, seat of the state’s capital, Cheyenne.
That means Sanders failed to cut into Clinton’s delegate lead in the race. In Pennsylvania, it’s much more evenly matched: Clinton and Trump would be tied at 44 percent each, the poll found.
Sanders clinched victory in the Wyoming Democratic caucuses on Saturday, registering eight wins in the last nine contests, U.S. media reported. Sanders, speaking at a rally the NY borough of Queens, at the time of the projection, announced the victory to his supporters after his wife, Jane, joined him on stage to say they had won. “He wins, he wins, he wins, he wins, and I hear he doesn’t have a chance”, Trump said, referring to Sanders’ recent string of Democratic primary and caucus victories. Sanders plans to spend $2.5 million in advertising fighting Clinton’s powerful campaign machine and popularity.
In a separate interview that aired Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union”, Sanders again took a swipe at Clinton and her qualifications as president. “We believe that the polling is showing that we’re closing the gap”.
“I think this has all been pretty silly”, Clinton told reporters at a campaign stop in Buffalo, in upstate NY.
