Sanderson Farms recalls poultry products
The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Thursday said that Sanderson Farms Inc.is recalling almost half a million pounds of chicken products that may have been contaminated with metal shavings.

There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
The chicken items were produced on September 17-18, 2015.
Some was sent to a hotdog maker in Georgia, and hotdogs containing the metal were made, though the company was able to prevent the product from reaching consumers, Cockrell said.

The USDA has classified the recall of the chicken products as a Class I Recall.
