Sandi Thom tells Radio 2 and Bauer to F off
Fed up with the rejection, Sandi, who is now pregnant, uploaded an emotional video of herself crying as she slams BBC Radio 2 for refusing to add her new single, “Earthquake”, to the playlist.

She also took aim at commercial radio giant Bauer Media after they too chose not to give the song airtime.
The I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker singer said she is done with the music industry following her latest single’s rejection.
She told STV’s Scotland Tonight: “This week on the Radio 2 playlist, there are no Scottish artists”.
‘It perfectly fits their format for the station.
Thom was shocked by the decision as she thought the song was “perfect”, and she posted a reaction video on Facebook in which she can be seen sobbing, and her sadness quickly turns into anger and she embarks on a stormy, foul-mouthed rant. I am f****** sick and exhausted of having to sit on the edge of my seat waiting for these people to come back and tell me their verdict of whether this song is going to be a success’. “Without their support, it can’t be a success”.
Speaking to Chris Moyles on XFM on Friday, she said: “I definitley started a little bit of a storm”.
One viewer did note that the singer had gained attention: “Sandi Thom’s meltdown is quite clever actually, free exposure for her mediocre music”.
She then moves on to Bauer and says they turned down interviews and playlists, insisting that that means 22 million people who won’t get to hear the song.
She ends the 2 minute video, posted on Wednesday evening, saying “Fuck you Radio 2, Fuck you Bauer and Fuck the lot of ya. Go and shove it up your arse cos I really don’t care any more”.
She has now removed the video, although not before several news sites managed to upload their own version.

Despite fading into obscurity in the late noughties, Sandi’s name began to trend on Twitter last night as the video circulated – but people weren’t exactly sympathetic. There is no reason why you need to do this to me once again…
