Sandra Bullock adopts a daughter

In a December 2 published interview, Sandra Bullock finally lets the news out that she adopted 3 ½ year old Louisiana toddler and that the secrecy had to do with protecting the child’s privacy, something that she is legally bound to do in order to legalize her adoption. The little girl is originally from Louisiana and was in foster care prior to her adoption.

We can all tell that Bullock is very much in love with her family right now.

Sandra made the decision to go public with her adoption of Laila to highlight that there are now 415,129 children in foster care in America who all need loving families to give them permanent homes.

Bullock, 51, appears in photos with Laila and her son Louis, 5, for the magazine.

Bullock also began dating photographer Bryan Randall, 49, this year. “I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time”, she said.

“Most foster children are in foster care because they were taken from their birth homes under tragic circumstances – and the last thing I wanted was to bring more harm to her because of the nature of my job”, she said. “If I had a second adopted child, everyone would be hearing about it. I would be loud and clear and say ‘Yes, I have officially adopted a second child.’ Right now, Louis must be it”, the actress said then.

Asked if she will marry again, Bullock said, “I don’t think so, but I can see myself in a committed, safe relationship where there is lots of love and laughter, and “making memories” is No 1 on the to-do list”.

“Louis spearheaded this whole journey”, she says.

The news comes just months after the actress denied she had adopted another child at a news conference for the film Our Brand Is Crisis. “I want a sibling who’s brown like me'”.
