Sandra Lee Reveals She Is Cancer Free
The celebrity chef/lifestyle guru and longtime girlfriend of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo celebrated her recovery at the Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday night in Los Angeles, dressed in an appropriately pink gown.

“I just want to say it doesn’t matter if you’re a double D – which I was – or an A, which I am”.
While making clear that she was not a doctor and that her decision to have surgery had to do with her personal medical history and other factors, Lee called a New York Times article about those findings “absolutely ridiculous”.
Lee, who made an appearance in a pink dress at the Emmys on Sunday, has become an advocate for routine mammograms.
She said she wanted to make a statement in wearing the dress, which she bought prior to her diagnosis.
“She was a private person and I admire her so much”.
“I feel so young and liberated”, Lee added. She was hospitalized with an infection after having surgery, but finally returned home in August.
“But this time I’m coming to share with you that my doctors have said I am cancer free”, she said triumphantly.
Lee announced she had been diagnosed with cancer in an interview with Roberts earlier this year shortly before she underwent her double mastectomy in May. “Let’s just wait and see what it does”.
She also questioned some doctors who say pre-emptive surgeries aren’t the best way to deal with pre-cancerous conditions. We know what it’s going to do.
“What DCIS does and early detection does is give you every option in the world”, Lee said.

“Why we would consider negotiation with cancer is beyond me”. “It’s only respectful to ourselves and to their work and what they gave up for us to get our tushies in there and get it diagnosed and then cut it out and take care of it”.
