The combined business of “Dilwale” and “Bajirao Mastani” in their opening weekend may have crossed the Rs 100-crore mark, but the industry has been rueing the disadvantages of two big-banner films clashing at the box office. “Diwale” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead opened quite well at the box-office whereas Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s “Bajirao Mastani” failed to surpass its collection. Bajirao Mastani’s screen count, is a little lesser as compared to Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale.
Confirming the same, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and talked about the collection of both the film this Monday. Word of mouth publicity will help the film convert the second weekend into a beneficial weekend. Friday 12.80 cr, Sat 15.52 cr, Sun 18.45 cr. Total: Rs 75.63 cr. On the other hand, the numbers for “Bajirao Mastani” rose, thanks to positive reviews and word-of-mouth buzz. This movie is one of the most awaiting movies of this year.

Amod Mehra is sure that the collection of Bajirao Mastani would see a sharp rise whereas for Dilwale it is likely to slide down in the same proportion.
