Looks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali is courting a lot of trouble for Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmavati. Now, fresh reports claimed that Ranveer Singh is not happy with the way Shahid Kapoor’s role has been written for the flick.
It is being speculated that Deepika will be convincing Ranveer to do the film irrespective of role, the other male lead in the film plays. In the magnum opus movie, Ranveer will reportedly play the role of Alauddin Khilji who loses his heart on Rajputana princess Padmavati Singh. However, before the film starts shooting in parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan’s Mewar, PNS wants assurance from Sanjay Leela Bhansali that the director will portray Rani Padmvati according to historical facts. Reportedly, Bhansali was having a tough time selecting the cast first and then the budget issues came up. However, when the news reached Patel Navnirman Sena’s President Hardik Patel’s ears, he raised an objection over the film’s shooting. However they were very close to the release of the film.
Hardik Patel said, “Every person is proud of Maharani Padmavati, who sacrificed her life for the self-esteem of Chittorgarh”.
“Yet Rajasthan-based Rajput Sena’s members told that SLB hasn’t examined the history and met with me, and could damage the picture of Rani Padmavati“. Bajirao Mastani had faced opposition from the descendants of the Maratha Peshwa and Mastani families. He has also told Sanjay Leela Bhansali to hold discussions with the Rajput leaders before he commences the shooting of Padmavati.

He was even quoted saying that they may hold the film’s release in Rajasthan and that they will not allow history to be tarnished in the way of entertainment.
