Santi Cazorla struck down with mystery illness in Spurs draw

He was at thirty per cent. He was dizzy.

Asked how many points the Czech worldwide had already earned his side, Wenger replied: “I don’t know”. I hope it is nothing bad. We showed great mental resources and we refused to give up. We did fight. I just saw that Cazorla is usually the guide in our game and he didn’t get the ball.

Today, Ozil once again set a new record.

“We were a bit on the ropes and we responded”, he told Sky Sports.

“I think mentally we weren’t at the races”.

Aaron Ramsey, Hector Bellerin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could all return soon after the global break to ease the injury concerns of manager Arsene Wenger, who conceded ahead of the game he was anxious by the sheer number of players on the treatment table.

“I believe 1-1 is a fair result. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we’ll get more energy because it’s important while having injured players”.

“With the way we played, and the chances we created, I think we deserved to win the game”, said the Argentinian former Southampton coach. “From that, our supporters can be very proud”.

“It was unexpected coming from the back, but we have very little offensive options at the moment on the bench”, he continued. We’re very pleased with him. The effort was brilliant. Up until Christmas we have a much easier run in of fixtures than City do.

“We can go into the global break and recover and get a few players fit and push on after”, Gibbs said.

Wenger said his emotions were a mixture of “relief and regret” after failing to take full advantage of Premier League leaders Manchester City’s draw at Aston Villa earlier in the day.

People have been left speculating over the reason for Cazorla’s poor display but speaking to Arsenal.com after the game, Wenger revealed that the midfielder was affected by a mysterious dizzy spell but the Arsenal boss is confident it’s nothing serious. Two seasons ago, Tottenham picked up just one point out of 24 against the quartet who finished above them and last year’s tally had only improved slightly to four.
