Sarah Palin cites son’s PTSD at Trump rally
Palin, who was absent from Trump’s Wednesday morning event in Norwalk, Iowa, despite a scheduled appearance, rejoined the Trump campaign in Tulsa, warming up the crowd ahead of the candidate’s speech.

Palin, who flirted with her own White House run, emerged as a conservative icon and political powerbroker following her failed 2008 vice presidential bid.
On Monday night, Palin’s son–a 26-year-old Iraq veteran–was arrested after an alleged incident of domestic violence against a woman and possession of a firearm while intoxication.
“They come back a bit different”.
“They come back hardened. And that starts from the top”, she said.
“Well, I think you ought to look at who we have employed in the campaign, and I think that will give you a clear insight as to how the introduction may have occurred”, Clovis said. Ted Cruz in Iowa. Trump spoke for about 40 minutes, urging the crowd to caucus for him on February 1 and attacking his closest competitor in the state, Sen. Her endorsement may have a chilling effect on more credible Republican leaders who may have been considering backing Trump.
Sarah Palin is firing up the troops for Donald Trump. “She can pick winners”.
“I will always remain a big, big fan of Sarah Palin”, he said.
That connection may have helped Trump snag the endorsement of Palin, an influential figure in the tea party movement whose endorsement was also coveted by others in the Republican presidential race. I think more of Sen. “It’s kind of like somebody barbequing in your backyard, setting up a tent in your backyard”.
Earlier Tuesday, Cruz’s Iowa efforts took another blow when the state’s Republican Gov. Terry Branstad said Iowans should reject Cruz. Asked if he wants to see Cruz defeated in Iowa, Branstad responded: “Yes”.
“I just hope that she’s not a vice presidential candidate with Trump”, Penn said.
“Yesterday was a double”.
“Palin’s brand among evangelicals is as gold as the faucets in Trump tower”, Ralph Reed, chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, told the New York Times.
Trump began the day by receiving an endorsement from the daughter of iconic U.S. actor John Wayne.
Trump has criticized Cruz as well for not disclosing properly two loans he received accusing him of hiding information purposely.
Madden also said Palin’s support could help shield Trump from charges that his past positions make him too liberal to be the GOP nominee, “giving Trump some rhetorical cover from a conservative validator in the eyes of many grassroots conservatives”.
“I don’t think it’s going to be a detriment, but I don’t think it’s going to be a huge asset”, said Stephen Freese, 56, of Burlington, Iowa, who works in construction.
Palin’s endorsement speech Tuesday evening combined the folksy charm and everywoman appeal that initially made her a GOP superstar with defiant taunting of a “busted” GOP establishment that she slammed for counting both Trump and herself out.
The conspiratorial, malcontent, racist, “Obama is a Muslim” wing of the party was already firmly in Trump’s camp and I can’t think of any voters beyond this lot that Palin might bring. Trump, she said, would be a commander in chief who would “let our warriors do their job and go kick ISIS’ ass!”
“Oh my goodness gracious”.

With her extensive foreign policy experience, particularly in Russia, Republican insiders say Palin could be a potential Vice Presidential running mate.
