The 22-year-old maid, Banumathi from Anaikudi, Thisayanvilai, in a complaint submitted on Monday at the office of the Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police, said she started working as a domestic help at Sasikala’s house in Anna Nagar, Chennai, in 2011.

The complainant alleged that she and her sister were detained and sexually harassed by the MP, her husband and their son, police said.

The lawmaker now says her domestic helps were forced to turn against her by the AIADMK, an allegation the party denies.

The bench of Justice Mukta Gupta directed the Delhi and Tamil Nadu police to not arrest the MP, her son or her husband till Thursday as her plea is yet to be heard.

In addition, four days ago, businessman Rajesh also filed a written complaint with Tirunelveli police commissioner against Sasikala, alleging that she had cheated him to the tune of Rs 20 lakh by promising to get a government contract.

On the same day, the MP alleged in the Rajya Sabha she was slapped by a “leader” and faced threat to her life in Tamil Nadu.
