“I welcome Raza bhai in my party as he has come here to join us”.

While talking to media, Raza Haroon said that the goal on which MQM was formed is lost.

“The courage required to take such a step, we saw on March 3 in the guise of Mustafa Kamal and Anis Kaimkhani”.

Sources said that Kamal has assured to extend full cooperation to FIA and a meeting between agency’s officials, and former mayor is expected on Sunday. “You [Altaf] are more than enough”. “The MQM worker was a middle-class, educated, politically enlightened individual but he was forced to act upon the orders of one person”, he said. The middle class was not served; neither the quota system was eliminated. “Your own brand and publication are enough for your own destruction”, he said.

He described the Lahore High Court (LHC) ban on Altaf Hussain as a “blessing in disguise” and believed that “the ban should stay in place” .

“I can witness that a “minus-one formula” is underway from within, you [Altaf Hussain] do not need a conspirator”.

Criticising Altaf, the former MQM leader said the party chief delivered speeches during “happy hours” which later became “happy 24 hours” , in a veiled reference to the alleged drinking habits of the MQM supremo.

Haroon said: “It’s been one year since the BBC issued RAW-funding allegations against the party and its leadership but the party has yet to approach courts over these allegations ” .

To a question, he said that he would reveal the name of his party on March 23, adding that in his first press conference he presented the party’s agenda.

Initially he worked in the global secretariat but was later relieved of his duties.

Raza Haroon joined MQM in 1987, he was remained member of provincial assembly on party’s ticket and also held portfolio of IT minister.
