We have a young guy (Dak Prescott) who everybody thinks a lot of and then we also got one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL (Tony Romo) that will be back this year to help us win and compete for a championship.

After hitting Romo from behind in what resulted in a broken bone in the back of the Cowboys’ signal caller, Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril told the Star-Telegram on Friday he’s received threats on Twitter from Cowboys fans. The injury will not require surgery.
Crawford said it doesn’t matter if the player is a rookie or a 10 year veteran, they will get some playing time in the Cowboys system. There’s a strong possibility that the success he had during the preseason will carry over to the regular season.
The injury to Romo could turn out being a positive for the franchise.
“So that probably more than anything else is what is not giving us a timetable”.
Despite Romo’s recent injury history, including twice breaking his collarbone last season, Jones insists the team is not concerned about his durability. “We’ve heard a wide range of possibilities in terms of when he would be able to play”.
Greg Hardy was technically Dallas’ most notable on-field loss, though from a moral and ethical point of view, the team made the right call in pushing him out of the door.
Prescott will open the season as the Cowboys’ starting quarterback.
Avril said on August 28 that he would reach out to Romo after learning the severity of his injury.
“It’s not related to the other back issues that he’s had”, Garrett said.
Center Travis Frederick said the team was surprised by the news on Romo when they reported to the team’s new practice facility Saturday.

Elliot is an exciting upgrade over McFadden, Dez Bryant is still Dez Bryant (even though he’s going to miss some time with an injury of his own), and if Prescott can put the ball in his hands, as his preseason form would suggest, it could be a genuinely exciting season.
