The iPad Pro has been specially designed by Apple’s top design chief Jony Ive and is expected to sell for a jaw-dropping £15,000 at auction. Accompanying the yellow iPad Pro is Smart Cover made from a blue French leather and an Apple Pencil ensconced in an orange Italian calf leather case.
It’s all part of a fundraiser for London’s Design Museum, which is moving this year to Kensington from its historic digs on the Thames just east of the Tower Bridge.

The iPad Pro is powered by Apple’s A9X chip and M9 motion coprocessor, with a 12MP rear-facing camera and 4K video recording capabilities.
The back of the iPad and the inside of the iPad Smart Cover have laser-etched text stating “Edition 1 of 1”.
Keeping with this trend, Apple has recently come up with a bright yellow 12.9 inch iPad Pro. The auction will take place on April 28.
The Phillips website lists the estimated price of these devices to be between 10,000 pounds to 15,000 pounds.
In aid of the good cause, the Museum has been inundated with generous donations from globally renowned designers and collectors. Jony Ive has designed a one-of-a-kind iPad Pro and set of accessories, labelled “Edition 1 of 1”. He likewise showcased a mobile prototype at the museum in 1990.

“We are extremely grateful to the friends of the museum who had donated such outstanding pieces, often from their personal collections, to help fulfil our ambition of creating one of London’s most important new cultural sites”, Sudjic said. Looking similar to the iPad Air 2 while packing power comparable to its bigger 12.9-inch counterpart, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro has been tagged by Independent’s David Phelan as “the best iPad yet built”.
