SC delegates: Time for Sanders to hit the trail for Clinton

Another series of protests and rallies was planned for Tuesday, the anger reflecting the rift inside the Democratic Party and the convention hall itself between Sanders’ supporters and Clinton’s.

Sanders added that while “Clinton and I disagree on a number of issues” during the platform crafting “there was a significant coming together between the two campaigns”.

Looking at Clinton and Sanders’ individual platforms on immigration, there is actually little to divide them. Recent polls have given her “unfavorable” ratings that average 55.4 percent, according to the RealClear Politics website. On Tuesday night, his wait will end when almost 1,900 fervent Sanders supporters will vote for his nomination as the party’s presidential nominee. With Sanders out of the race, some of them were backing Green Party candidate Jill Stein. Let me give you the bad news: The women.

However, the former presidential candidate acknowledged that he didn’t have enough support to prevent Hillary Clinton from being formally nominated by the Democratic party for president.

At a meeting before the convention began, he was jeered by his own delegates when he urged them to back Clinton and focus on defeating Trump, a man he called a “bully and a demagogue”. But to all of our supporters here and around the country, I hope you take enormous pride in the historical accomplishments we have achieved, “said Sanders”.

Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri says that “every scar that Hillary Clinton wears, she got while she was in public service” fighting for children and families.

Sometime around 6 p.m. tonight, Sanders delegates can still support him in a roll-call vote on the convention floor. “And I am going to do all that I can to make that happen”. On the first day of the Democratic convention she seemed less popular than even Donald Trump in Philadelphia. “Sad to watch Bernie Sanders abandon his revolution. Donald Trump doesn’t see me, he doesn’t hear me, and he definitely doesn’t speak for me”, said Somoza, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and spastic quadriplegia when she was born.

Sanders lost to Clinton in the primary handily. For Clinton, getting many of those young voters who #FeelTheBern to now declare that #ImWithHer is no easy task. Benefiting from a traditional post-convention “bump”, he pulled just ahead of her in at least one survey on Monday.

Deborah Armstrong, of Spokane, Washington, said she and her husband went bankrupt because of his health problems, which required a heart transplant.

A dose of political theater could be in store, however, as Clinton’s chief Democratic primary rival Sanders was seeking to place his name in nomination during Tuesday’s vote.

In advance of his speech before the DNC in Philadelphia, Sanders encouraged his followers to not protest or act uncivilly at the convention.

Several speakers pleaded for peace between the factions.

“It just validated everything we thought, everything we believed to be true, that this was completely rigged right from the beginning, and that you know it was really about what they were doing everything to set it up so she would win”, Sanders supporter Gwen Sperling said.

The appearance came less than 24 hours after Wasserman Schultz announced she would step down as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee at the conclusion of this week’s convention.
