New Scandal season 5, episode 4 official spoilers, synopsis released by ABC.

It’s the job of any Shondaland actor/actress to get viewers on Twitter excited for any given episode, but this one feels like it’s going to be really different, doesn’t it? Meanwhile, Mellie called in Cyrus to help her get what she wants out of this, the Oval Office. Cyrus is confused by this because she got everything she wanted and there isn’t much else she can ask for without giving something in return. Fitz and Olivia agree to everything, but when Abby prints out the agreement, Mellie refuses to sign it. She wants MORE! By the end of the fourth season, it’s hard not to wish things would just go right for Mellie for once; everything she tries to accomplish seems to fall apart. The clip also shows Liv in tears as she speaks to someone over the phone saying, “I think I made a mistake”.

Olivia Pope doesn’t know what she has gotten herself into. “Meanwhile, Huck and Quinn recruit a familiar face to help smooth over the media storm surrounding Olivia, and Fitz quickly finds out the true cost of mercy when he discovers not everyone fully supports his actions”. Olivia tells Fitz to take Mellie back and that she’ll wait out the remaining 18 months he has in the office. After this conversation, Fitz goes out to talk to Mellie to apologize and thank her for everything that he has put her through and everything she has done for him. After thinking briefly, he tells Cyrus, “you do not work here anymore” then tells him he can go. On their way into the interview, she stops and tells Fitz that he nearly had her and runs off. Plan B is for Abby to throw Olivia under the bus to the press as a party girl.

While the president’s affair dominates the news, there’s another story that Jake sees about the Louvre being set on fire. I have no idea what this means, but perhaps Command and B-613 will rise from the dead.
