The Late Show with Stephen ColbertStephen Colbert’s first “Late Show” episode nearly didn’t make it to air thanks to a technical glitch. And Wednesday’s Late Show showing is still more than double what Letterman brought in on the comparable night previous year .
One of the most memorable moments from Colbert’s almost non-existent debut was also one of the most viewed online: Colbert’s discussion about Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy while eating Oreos.
