Schedule changes for the Christmas holiday
End-of-year holidays will change operating schedules for area businesses and organizations.

Fulton County administrative offices will also be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Portland offices will close at noon on December 31. Mail will not be delivered to post office boxes at any station or branch.
The Kroger pharmacy will close at 3:30 p.m.
They will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, Dec. 28.
All library branches will close early Dec. 24 at 1 p.m. All library branches and all pools and community centres will be closed Dec. 25 and Dec. 26, for Christmas and Boxing Day. ABC stores will be open until 6 p.m. on December 24 but closed December 25. Residents with cart trash collection service will receive cart trash collection on Monday, December 21 and Saturday, December 26.
Washington County: All offices at the Washington County Courthouse and George Jaynes Justice Center, both in Jonesborough, and the county offices located on Marketplace Boulevard in Johnson City, will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25.
That’s because city offices will be closed on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Dec. 25. Friday’s garbage pickup will move to Saturday both weeks.
ETSU: All university offices will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24, and will reopen on Monday.
The Henderson County Tourism Development Authority will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday with shorter hours Thursday, being open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The HCTDA will be closed on Friday and will reopen from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Bay St. Louis, Wiggins and Waveland: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday garbage pickups will be on a normal schedule.
Lamar County offices are closed Thursday, Friday, Dec. 31 and January 1. Library branches will also be closed Sunday, Dec. 27.
Mountain City: All city offices will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 25. A citywide garbage collection will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

And if you’re wondering what Christmas tree collection dates are this year – when you’ve taken the decorations and tinsel off your tree – you can put it out for pickup either Monday, Jan. 4 or Monday, Jan. 18. Weekend college courses will not meet.
