Schefter: I Believe Titans Likely to Trade 1st Overall Pick
Hey, give it to Orr and the Around the National Football League staff – they put some real research into this and make a case for the always constant drum beat of “build the team first” that sounds whenever the topic of drafting a quarterback comes up.

Ideally, whichever teams that come away with Goff and Wentz will have the patience to let them sit and develop for a while before throwing them to the wolves.
The Giants are crossing their fingers at least one team in the top nine feels differently on each.
As the Philadelphia Eagles continue to personally evaluate every quarterback available, and basically anyone with an arm and fingers, it’s becoming more and more clear where their draft priorities lie.
Previous reports also indicated that the Philadelphia Eagles might be able to swing a trade with the Cleveland Browns for the No. 2 overall pick.
California quarterback Jared Goff, who has also been widely linked to the Browns No. 2 pick, is pegged to go to the San Francisco 49ers at No. 7. So… would you do that deal?
In addition to Wentz and the Browns, Buckeyes fans will be interested to know that Kiper has six former Ohio State Buckeyes in the first round: Joey Bosa at No. 4 (Dallas Cowboys), Ezekiel Elliott at No. 6 (Ravens), Darron Lee at No. 13 (Dolphins), Taylor Decker at No. 18 (Colts), Eli Apple at No. 26 (Seahawks), and Vonn Bell at No. 28 (Chiefs). That said, our advice to them would be to pass on Wentz and move toward building a dominant defense. The only question is who that player is going to be, and when will the Eagles get them? That’s enough ammunition to move up the draft board if they wanted and it likely wouldn’t cost them almost as much as the ransom they extracted from the Washington Redskins in 2012.
If a trade-up happens and the Eagles do decide to draft one of this years’ top Quarterback talents, they have a backup plan for if the above scenario unfolds.
The Ravens may not need a quarterback, but a quarterback may be the key to the teams draft…
The Eagles are stuck between a rock and a hard place right now, but somehow trading up for a Quarterback may actually be the smartest move the team can make.

The Los Angeles Rams have not enjoyed a winning season in the four years that general manager Les Snead and head coach Jeff Fisher have been in charge.

Everybody is speculating about what all this focus by the Eagles on the quarterbacks means.
