Schools go on lockdown after social media threat
Students attended classes with an “increased police presence” and a “heightened awareness” at the school, according to the statement.

“At this time, we know that many schools in many states have received a similar threat”, Markley said.
A spokesperson for Leon School’s confirmed to Eyewitness that it has seen the threat and is now in contact with Leon County Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln High’s principal. Classes were canceled for the day as a precaution. No other credible information was received clarifying whether or not “RHS” was in fact Romeo High School or another school with the same initials. “Don’t come to school this Monday January 25, 2016”.
End-of-term exams that were scheduled for today at Lake Orion High School will now take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lincoln Middle School in Warren, Michigan found schools across the nation with the same name are dealing with the same threat.
Detroit police and the Department of Homeland Security are investigating a threat made against Cass Technical High School in Detroit on social media this past weekend, authorities confirmed.
Police will work with investigators from other effected cities to find the origin of the threat. Right now the school remains on lockdown as police and school administrators try to figure out who is behind the threats.
