The 2014 Defensive Player of the Year injured his groin midway through the third quarter and mised most of the second half. Watt will have surgery Tuesday to fix a groin injury he aggravated against the Chiefs on Saturday.

“I’m not 100 percent sure”, he said, “but we’ll get it diagnosed [Sunday]”. Watt will be having surgery on Tuesday. “I will know exactly what it is when we go in tomorrow”, he said.
Watt has been on the injury report since before the Buffalo game with the groin injury and said today he’s been dealing with the injury for six to seven weeks. After the Houston Texans got blanked 30-0 by the Kansas City Chiefs at home in the first game of the playoffs, Arnold Schwarzenegger had some endearing words for Houston and J.J. Watt. Our training staff has done a great job just getting me out there on the field so I could play.
“It was bad to not be out there with my teammates”, Watt said after the game.
