Scientists make accurate, working recreation of a brain

A joint team of European scientists digitally recreated essential area of rat brain, which may soon help other researchers encode the entire human brain into a computer model. The goal of the project is to define all the different types of neurons found in the brain, measure their electricity-firing properties, and create a roadmap of the circuits that connect the neurons to one another.
