Scooter wasn’t Guinness World Records’ oldest cat of all time though.
The world’s oldest living cat title now belongs to a 30-year-old Siamese cat named Scooter.
Scooter had taken the oldest-cat title from 26-year-old Corduroy, a ME coon who held the title for a year and will turn 27 on August 1.
The world’s oldest cat has died at the age of 30.
His owner, Gail Floyd of Mansfield, Texas, has said he had died by the time Guinness confirmed his title on April 8.
Scooter has trekked across America, visiting 45 of the 50 states, and often accompanies Floyd to the nursing home to visit her mother.
The normal life expectancy for cats is 12 to 16 years, said Dr. Tricia Latimer, a veterinarian with Walnut Creek Animal Clinic.

However, Scooter is still not the oldest cat in history… Scooter lives pretty well, actually – Floyd gives him chicken to dine on every other day, because when you make that far into your golden years, you deserve pretty much anything you want.
