Scotland gets ready for Panda-monium ahead of Earth Hour
Earth Hour 2016 is calling on citizens across the country to switch off non-essential lights for the hour and go solar.

The irony of the situation is that the event in India is being endorsed by cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, who will be playing in a floodlight-lit stadium during the Earth Hour.
AhmerYar Malik said that the department has created an Eco Tourism Hub from KallarKahar to Soan Valley.
During the signing ceremony Hammad Naqi Khan, Director General WWF-Pakistan, said, “We are thrilled that members of the provincial assembly of Punjab are supporting Earth Hour this year and we hope that they will inspire others to get involved”. “I pledge to promote eco-tourism further this year”, he added.
As part of efforts to spread the message of energy conservation, Delhiites will join a billion people in over 6,000 cities across the globe to observe the Earth Hour this Saturday by switching off electrical appliances between 8.30 PM and 9.30 PM.
“The world is at a climate crossroads”, said Siddarth Das, Executive Director, Earth Hour Global. Past year a record-breaking 172 countries and some of the world’s most Iconic buildings switched off their lights.
Earth Hour is a World Wildlife Fund initiative which started in Sydney Australia in 2007 to focus the world’s attention on the need to protect the planet and to take action on climate change. “While we are experiencing the impacts of climate change more than ever, we are also witnessing a new momentum in climate action transcending borders and generations”. Earth Hour aims to save energy whilst putting the spotlight on various climate change issues facing the planet.

“Our new forests will greatly increase the capacity of our carbon sink to sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, thereby mitigating climate change”, Paje said.
