Scott and Spieth with work to do at Open
Matthew Jones of Australia pokes his head above a mound on the 7th fairway to watch his ball fly during the Australia Open Golf Tournament in Sydney, Australia, Friday, Nov. 27, 2015.

Wellington’s Harry Bateman is the next best-placed Kiwi, sitting in a share of 19th after an even-par 71 with 12 others, including Spieth and world No. 12 Scott.
The Climate Summit will be held in the French capital from Nov 30-Dec 11.
Scott slipped perilously to two-over par for the championship following a lacklustre second-round 73 in relatively easy morning conditions at The Australian Golf Club. “I like the challenge of chasing, but not being too far away knowing you can maybe go out ahead and put just a bit of pressure on”, the world No. 1 said.
“To have something this windy it’s been a while”, Spieth said. “It was just a guessing game really”, the Masters and U.S. Open champion said.
Tighe and defending champion and world number one Jordan Spieth will hit off just after midday (AEDT).
“The toughest part is when you have the cross winds and you’re trying to decide whether it’s helping or hurting and you’ve got to pick the shot to play”.
“I know I can strike ball a lot better but it was a day in winch even par felt like three or four under”, he said”. “And then once we get to 13 Lee hits it over the (television) tower and they come and tell us, ‘We know what happened but you still have to make up the time”.
His final-round 63 previous year was a record for the revamped Jack Nicklaus-designed layout, which was being played as a par-71 for the first time.
In temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius (95 Fahrenheit), Spieth started on the 10th hole with a birdie, bogeyed a par-3 on each nine and finished with a 5 on the par-4 ninth at The Australian Golf Club.
“It’s not a team event in golf, I think unfortunately”, Spieth said. There were only two birdies on the hole by mid-afternoon, 53 pars, 46 bogeys and seven double bogeys.
The upset of the day was Peter Senior, who won his third gold jacket last weekend at the Australian Masters, the oldest at 56 to do so.
“I’ve been pretty open and outspoken that it’s not really a priority of my scheduling next year, which is based around the majors”.

“I do have local knowledge and it’ll be fun to be out there on the weekend with a lot of friends and family and members from this course out there”.
