Scottish giants Rangers suspend Joey Barton for three weeks
Rangers have announced that Joey Barton has been suspended from the club for three weeks after a training ground exchange last week.

Barton met with the Rangers boss and board members on Monday morning, with the midfielder saying he could not comment on it as he left Ibrox.
Barton was absent as Rangers continued their indifferent start to the season with a goalless Ibrox draw against Ross County on Saturday.
The 34-year-old was involved in a training ground bust-up with both teammates and Warburton last week, and now news of his official suspension suggests his time at Rangers may not last much longer.
Joey Barton has said he believes he remains a Rangers player.
On Monday, after a meeting with the club, Barton was handed a three-week ban.
The players touchingly celebrated by holding up the number two shirt which had been worn by skipper Dave Mackay, who had to hang up his boots earlier in the week because of a career-ending injury.
Barton joined Rangers in the summer on a two-year contract as a free agent, after turning down the offer of a contract extension at Burnley.
Barton will miss the League Cup quarter-final against Queen of the South on Tuesday night, as well as the Scottish Premiership fixtures against Aberdeen and Partick Thistle, but should return for the match against Inverness on October 14th. I’m sure you can understand that from my position and the position of the club.
In his Talksport interview, Barton admitted that he had yet to make an impact in Scotland but added: “You’re only as good as your team-mates, so if I am to improve they have to improve”. I’ll never have a problem with a player knocking on my door to talk about a session.
“We said come in and move the ball quickly, show an energy and desire”.
